The short answer
Cheapest at 500 to 1,000 keywords: Wincher — £41.03 a month for 500 keywords, £74.52 a month for 1,000 keywords.
Cheapest at 2,000 to 5,000 keywords: SE Ranking — £95.00 a month for 2,000 keywords, £209.00 a month for 5,000 keywords.
Mangools: no published price from 2,000 keywords. Only the Agency plan updates daily.
Semrush: no published price from 2,000 keywords. Past 1,500 keywords the price is on request.
Left out: Ahrefs. Ahrefs tracks 750, 2,000 or 5,000 keywords on its £99, £199 and £359 a month plans, but its own table lists the update frequency as weekly on every plan, so it is left out of this daily comparison.
When the cheapest is not the answer
- Rank tracking is often part of a bigger suite. Semrush, SE Ranking and Mangools also sell keyword research, audits and backlinks in the same plan; if you need those anyway, compare the whole bundle, not this one feature.
- Plans differ on websites, users and locations. The cheapest plan here may cap how many sites or team members you can add.
- Annual billing is cheaper on most of these — typically 17–20% — but locks you in. Every figure here is the month-to-month price.
- Prices are as shown to a UK visitor, before any VAT. Euro and dollar prices move with the exchange rate.
